at Claire's
Claire's Corner Copia is always on the lookout for
great people to join our wonderful staff. We have an excellent training

Regarding International Students:
Claire's Corner Copia works with several international agencies who
offer employment opportunities to foreign students who have a J-1 Visa.
We have enjoyed students from Spain, Costa Rica, France, Ireland,
Denmark, Canada, and Africa. We love the diversity. Two friends from the
same region work out well because they have company from home and
because we can accept two students per season.

asked questions:

Job Title:
Counter Assistant who greets our customers and takes their food
orders, gets their drinks and desserts. The job also includes
decorating cakes, and assisting our other wonderful staff. We offer
excellent training.

Wages: We are
proud of the fair wages that we pay at Claire's Corner Copia.

Dress Code:
Hair must not touch your collar, you need to wear clean, casual
clothing - no sleeveless shirts, wear fully enclosed, rubber soled
shoes (sneakers are fine) and a full, clean apron, without any
pockets, each day. We sell white aprons for $3.00 and the price can
be deducted from your paycheck. We provide a bowl of our soup and
our homemade bread, or a tossed, house salad with our homemade bread
to each staff member each workday.

Housing: is
plentiful due to our close proximity to Yale University (across the
street) and you can locate housing by looking on the Internet for
New Haven Register or New Haven Advocate, or Real Estate, apartment
specialists. Of course, feel free to contact us for answers to other
questions that can make your visit possible.

Housing is
available through real estate agents or with Hotel Duncan, which is
three blocks from Claire's Corner Copia. Hotel Duncan rates are:
$45.00 nightly, $125.00 weekly with a private bath, or $100.00
weekly with a shared bath. Please phone Robert Longo at the Hotel
Duncan and mention that you will be working at Claire's Corner Copia.
