Saturday, June 7 Alex's Lemonade Stand

of Claire’s Corner Copia is thrilled to announce that
$775 was raised for Alex’s Lemonade Stand on Saturday,
June 7, 2008. There was lemonade, lemon treats and face
painting. Alex’s Lemonade Stand benefits childhood
cancer research and honors the memory of Alex Scott, a
little girl who died of childhood cancer.
Special thanks go out to our devoted volunteers; Frank
Criscuolo, Kelly Burns, who flew in from Chicago to
volunteer with us for her 4th year

Please join us as we help raise funds for childhood cancer
research and enjoy a glass of our homemade Lemonade, lemon
cookies and lemon cakes, face- painting and hand-painting. On
Saturday, June 7, from noon until 4:00 PM, we'll have our
Lemonade Stand (thanks to the design and creation by Alan
Ponder) out on our sidewalk, and Alan and Frank, Kelly, Celina,
Carolyn, Rachel, and I will be there to pour and serve, paint,
and assist you as we all help to fight the cancers that
challenge our children. Together, we make a difference. I look
forward to seeing you there.

Artist in Residence Reception - Meet Doug Deveny, our Artist in
Residence, learn about his inspiration, view his work, and enjoy
conversation and refreshments. This event is free and open to
the public.

Master Gardeners will be at tables in front of Claire's Corner
Copia to talk about how to germinate seeds, plant and tend to
herb and vegetable plants - there's still time to plant a garden
this year.
