Coins for Causes/Donations

Each month, we designate a different charity to benefit from our Coins for Causes collection jar that we set by our cash registers.

February -
- $375.00 collected and donated to Notre Dame High School in West Haven, in memory of Kevin Rowe
- Claire's Corner Copia and Basta Trattoria donated $200.00 to Walk for Aids, organized by students from Yale University.
January - $400.00 donated to St. Raphael's Hospital in memory of Kevin Rowe

With the great help from our dear friends, Allan and Celine Ponder, Rose and Meg Albin, Kelly Burns, and Carolyn Lapia, we hosted our annual Alex's Lemonade Stand in front of Claire's Corner Copia, and sold Lemonade, Lemon Cakes, and painted faces (lemons, of course) in memory of Alex Scott and raised money for research of Childhood Cancers for her foundation. The stand, coupled with our Coins for Causes jar has raised more than $1,800.00 this year. Thank you so much for all the support. Together, we really do make a difference!
