Claire’s Corner Copia turns 35
with 35 day-long Celebration

Since 1975, Claire and Frank Criscuolo have been dishing out delicious, homemade foods out of their downtown New Haven restaurant. Now, 35 years later, Claire’s Corner Copia - the nationally-known staple in the Elm City, is getting ready to celebrate and honor its loyal customers with a 35-day long celebration. Kicking off its ‘Claires’ 35 in 35 Celebration’ on Friday, September 17^th from 8:00AM-10:00PM every customer gets to draw a present from the countertop goodie jar. “I like to think of it as - it’s our birthday, but you get the presents”, says Claire Criscuolo, the nationally-published cookbook author and certified culinary expert. “This whole celebration is really for all the wonderful people who have come through the doors for the past 35 years, let us serve them healthy food, and treated us like family”. 

Rena Leddy, Executive Director of Town Green Special Services District, recognizes the importance of Claire’s Corner Copia to the downtown landscape, “Claire’s is an institution and such an important part of downtown New Haven” she says. “Can you imagine coming to New Haven and not stopping by Claire’s for any of her famous desserts?  Claire and Frank Criscuolo are a vital part of the local business community and we are thrilled to celebrate this wonderful milestone with them”.

‘Claires’ 35 in 35 Celebration’ has many special promotions going on during the 35-day long event including a special family-style pre-fixed dinner menu for $35 and a limited edition 35^th Anniversary t-shirt packaged with special merchandise and dessert. Patrons will be encouraged to sign Claires’ 35^th Anniversary Greetings Wall in the dining area. The final highlight of the celebration will be an invitation to go to Claire’s Facebook page and vote for your favorite charity to receive a special donation on Thursday, October 21^st - the last day of the celebration.  “I want to recognize all the wonderful non-profits we have worked with over the years”, Criscuolo says. “We’ll donate thirty-five per cent of every order from the day to whatever organization gets the most votes on Facebook from our customers”.
